My daughter was diagnosed with type one diabetes on Nov 4, 2011. It has really been an adjustment for all. But we've found the key is smiling, hugs and support!

I overcome endometriosis everyday. I battle through the pain that wants to keeps me in bed all day, and overcome the struggles of just walking on a daily bases. It's difficult beyond belief but I have hope that one day there will be a cure.

I overcame sweating the small stuff from being impatient in line at a store, road rage, just letting the smallest things get me super upset to the point my kids & husband were embarrased to go places with me 😟 it was so bad i had anxiety attacks. Now i handle & look at things very different ive learned to be patient & think before i react & my life is much more pleasant no more headaches or anxiety attacks i just feel like a much better person.

Overcame that I am getting older and no longer needing to look perfect (perfect clothes, perfect makeup, etc.) and I don't care what other people think of me.

I overcame a lifetime of financial hardship and spiritual crises. I've emerged with two amazing children, one of whom has survived cancer. I feel so lucky, blessed for every bit of it because who I am now is who I've always wanted to be and I couldn't have done it without all of those difficulties.

I overcame the loss of my grandmother by keeping her memory alive and talking to her everyday. She raised me from 4days old when I was adopted and never gave up on me and pushed me to keep going and that is what I am doing and I hope she is looking down on me and proud of what she sees!
