I was so afraid to give a vaginal birth. To me it was impossible. Because I have zero pain tolerance. Even my dr told me you have no patience. I didnt want c section either. I overcame my limitations and successfully gave the vaginal birth to a healthy baby boy.

I overcame so many things in my life picking one is hard. I would have to say my biggest in my adult life would be my drug addiction. I went from having everything to nothing in less than a month. The thing that helped pull me out of the darkness was that my kids needed me more than I needed the drug. My life has been a struggle but everyday I get stronger and my life gets better!! I have been clean 6 years now.

I was a young mother at the age of 17, me and my mother weren't on good terms...she had kicked me out. The father of my child was in jail...on his way to prison. I didn't know what to do...but I kept my head up...pushed to do better in my life. Got rid of ppl that were no good, made mends with my mother, got a job and kept a job took care of my child with the mental and emotional support of my family without the help of her father. I continued to strive and give her a good life and get her the things she needed. I got my own place, my own car and did everything on my own and I am still doing it. Yes having a child young is not the best thing but with all odds against me I made my way to the top and am doing well for myself and my daughter...and now we have a new addition to our family so she is a big sister to her little sister and we have an amazing father for both of them in our lives. we couldnt be happier.

I have chronic pain form a failed back fusion and severe neuropathy along with a ton of other health issues. Overcoming isn't even a question. In this life there are people who give in, give up, and end up dying in misery and then there are those who are fighters and regardless of how bad things get or are, they keep fighting to have the best life possible regardless of their circumstances. I choose to be the latter. Every single day I overcome adversity that my body throws at me and the stigma attached to chronic pain/chronic illnesses and mental health. I will keep overcoming because I am a fighter and a survivor. I am fiercely made.

I was diagnosed with cataracts in my eyes at age 37. After taking months to get beyond the shock, operations and upset, I forged ahead. I chose monovision implants and next suffered from Vertigo until my brain & eyes adjusted. It's been 17 years, and all is going fine now, Thank God. In fact, I'm one of the few people in my age group who can read without glasses, thanks to the carefully chosen implants. So I am thankful for my doctor & my vision. Btw, I have never learned why my eyes developed such issues to begin with. So, that will remain a mystery.
