When you eat out with friends, do you split the bill evenly, contribute just what you ate, or take turns paying? Do you use Venmo, PayPal, credit cards, cash or something else? How has this changed since mobile payments became commonplace? Tell us your favorite bill-paying strategies and you'll be entered to win $25 toward your next meal (paid how you want to spend it: Venmo, PayPal, or Amazon gift card!) Sometimes we'll get separate checks, other times someone will pay and I'll give that person the money for my portion.

We usually get separate checks. I pay with whichever method strikes my fancy that day-cash, credit card, or tap and pay with my phone!

We usually split the bill evenly or take turns paying, most of the time with credit cards. I haven't used Venmo or PayPal to pay for meals or dined with anyone that has used those methods.
