It's time to celebrate us! International Women's Day is March 8, which means it's the perfect moment to appreciate all the women who have come before us and what they have accomplished.

What women have influenced you? Tell us and you'll be entered to win a $100 gift card to either Amazon, Walmart, or Spafinder to buy something for her, yourself, or another woman in your life!

Plus, your responses could be featured in the next newsletter!

At SheSpeaks, we've been inspired by so many women, both those we know personally and those we've never met. Here are just a few of them:

My Mom

The woman who has positively influenced me is my mom, Ying Lo. She has taught me to never doubt my intuition and to go for what I love to do. She is the reason I am 100% my unapologetic self and strive to do more with my life. - Gaonou

J.K. Rowling

Aside from being an amazing author, J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) faced a lot of rejection and persevered to see her vision come to life. She gives back generously, speaks her mind and holds true to her beliefs. - Stephanie

My Grandmother

She was an amazing woman who grew up in a time with gender role expectations, yet went on to receive her Master's and start various organizations, including women’s organizations. She was incredibly wise and always gave the best advice. - Melissa

My Mom's Group

When my oldest son was born, I met a group of amazing new moms. We started going out to dinner once a month and we haven't stopped for more than twelve years. These women have inspired me to be a better mom and a stronger person. They also taught me how important it is to support other women - and find women who support you. - Susan

Serena Williams

Serena Williams is more than just an incredible tennis player. She also uses her platform for good and has become a great role model for all, but especially girls, sisters and now moms. Her passion for excellence is inspring. I love her new Nike video that says it all.  - Carol

What women have inspired you? Tell us and you'll be entered to win a a $100 gift card to Amazon, Walmart or Spafinder - winner's choice!

I am inspired by many of the female teachers I have had. Also public figures like Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

My sorority sisters, whom I still see regularly, after 27 years, inspire me. Each of us have had different challenges throughout our lives and we are cheerleaders for each other.

My mom and grandma have been my biggest inspirations. They have been amazing role models, always there for me, and definitely helped shape the person I've become.

The 2 most inspirational women in my life are my childhood best friend and one of my high school best friends, both are NOW mothers of children, One gave birth to a stillborn child which I can only imagine is not easy and the other wasn't able to have full term pregnancies without being on best rest. One had a tougher time than the other and I honestly feel inspired to be able to bounce back like they have some day show that women struggle very hard if not harder some times, but NEVER give up when they have a set goal.

My mom is a big inspiration in my life as she was a single mom and raised my sister and I. She never got a college degree but worked her way up through her industry and is very successful. Another woman that inspires me is Michelle Obama. I'm reading her autobiography and it's really cool to see where she come from and her success.

My closest friend. She inspires me because she has, and still is, growing stronger despite the obstacles in her path. She knows her limits and doesn't go beyond them.

My friends, V and Meg, have showed me kindness when no one did. Barbara Jane Reyes is the only woman I've encountered (so far!) whose work I feel in my bones. She makes me feel like I'm not alone, not a mistake and am part of something. My mother for supporting me and exposing me to what's happening in the world.

My mom inspires me. Even more so now that I'm a mom myself. I see and realize how much she sacrificed for me and my brother while we were growing up, and she never mentioned it or asked for a thank you. Mothers go above and beyond and are the guilt guides on the side and cheerleaders for their children. My mom taught me that I'm never alone-she will always be behind me no matter what-whether she agrees with me or disagrees with me. My mom taught me to be myself and that I'm a treasure, and if someone doesn't see that, leave them in the dust! 💁🏻‍♀️

My Mother. My mother passed away 9 years ago, this September 21st. People still speak to me about missing my mother. . There isn't a day I dont miss her myself. My sisters child was diagnosed with aml at one in 1983. My sister couldnt take care of him. . My mother raised 4 kids and a sick grandchild--without too much support from my father and her family. . One of the sick children at Sloan Kettering along with my nephew, asked my mother to Rollerskate along the corridors along Sloan Kettering. . My mother never roller skated. She grew up during the Great Depression. But she borrowed my skates and she did it. To make that sick child happy. And she didnt get hurt. That was my mother. That is the person that inspires me every day.

My grandmother inspired me. She was a woman ahead of her time. She wore pants when women wore skirts, she didn't marry until her late 20s, she was very independent and felt that women could do everything a man could do. She taught me to be an independent thinker and therefore, I was the first in my family to go to college.

ALL women athletes have inspired me. This crap of allowing transgender males to compete in women's sports is just wrong! Women have worked hard and earned a spot in athletics! Babe Didrikson Zaharias was amazing, Chris Evert, Bonnie Blair, Wilma Rudolph, Jackie Joyner-Kersee-- all these women inspire me every day! Just to see what they overcame in a mens dominated world of athletics! Go girls, When someone use to tell me I throw like a girl, or I run like a girl, I would tell them THANK YOU!
