Yes I do regularly.
I have not had the money talk yet- this would be great!
Make Your Kid A Money Genius (Even If You're Not) is a great tool for giving children a head start in money management. A little education can really go a long way as children absorb so much and will carry these lessons with them into adulthood.
I have had the money talk with my girls
I think this would be an awesome book for kids because I don't want my son to make and suffer from the same mistakes I made with my finances. Would like to prepare him to make better decisions and choices.
The money talk is an ongoing conversation at our house.
This book wasn't around when my children were small, but I will definitely use it to teach my grandchildren! So many good tips and strategies.
I would if I had kids. But I had a boyfriend with a son who I was close with. He caught on about saving money. At times, he would ask to buy something frivolous. Sometimes, we would ask him,, "HOw about using your money to buy that?" He'd then think about it and say he'd rather save the money. Okay by me. LOL
I am a financially responsible person and I try to teach my son to be as well, but money just burns a whole in his pocket, he doesn't care if he spends it on toys, food, etc, or gives it away, as long as it is gone!
I've always talked to my girls about finances, not overspending and using a budget. They are in their 20s now and have started retirement accounts.
Will have to give this a shot!
Will have to give this a shot!
We have an on going conversation with all the kids about money and finances. It's a complicated world out there so we want to arm them with information about saving and spending.
No kids, but my mom used to talk to me about responsible spending when I was a kid.
Yes, I've had the money talk with my kids.
