The struggling fast-food giant's sales have fallen recently and their new CEO, Steve Easterbrook, unveiled a turnaround plan on Monday morning. And he did not mince words when discussing the company's problems.
Recognizing that recent performance was "poor" and that "the numbers don't lie" - some of the challenges he faces are:
But what Easterbrook really wants to change is the quality of the food and the stale brand image. He stressed that they need to innovate more. What do you think?

McDonald's is one of the very few restaurants close enough to where I work to make it possible to go there on my lunch hour, so I'm a fairly regular customer. A suggestion: stop changing the order of the menu items! I have certain items that I like, so I know to order a "# x" -- until they change it and I have to spend 10 minutes hunting for what they're calling it on the menu now. They're supposed to be fast food -- for me and for everyone in line behind me - so this is a pain.
Salads and healthier options are so overpriced. I would love the chance to eat something healthier, yet not have to pay double the price of the unhealthy options to do so.
offer great tasting Veggie Burgers and GMO free options !
I think a better salad menu to supplement the burgers and fries; make the menu healthier!
McDonald's has become too expensive for the quality of food that they serve. A family of 4 cannot afford cheap food for the high price. Sure the dollar menu is fine but the quality and serving size doesn't cut it. Best thing to do is downsize the menu itself not the food. Specialize in just a few items for breakfast and lunch/dinner. We love the Egg McMuffin and biscuit sandwiches. We also love the fries.
They need more healthier options. Salads, fruits, clean eating. Less salt.
I agree that they need to focus on the staples of making quality burgers and fries. I love that they have a few different choices for kids now and smaller fry servings.
The problem with our local mcdonalds is the customer service! Instead of the place trying to be the fastest fast food, the need to learn to get the orders right, pay attention, and care about what they are doing!
I would love to see more vegetarian options! Cheaper value meals and bring back the .99 cent drinks!
Bring back the dollar menu, I feel like you forgot all about the customer that has been there all along!
I think more kids choices first off and better adult meals. We love mcdonalds and eat there all the time but I just wish there was more choices for adults that were good!
i would like to see low carb options esp for breakfast
How about offering breakfast sandwiches with turkey sausage.
Less chemicals first off. More side options other than fries would be nice.
I think what they make fills a need, bad for you food that isn't great quality, but it's inexpensive, but tastes good for what it is. The problem is that people want to eat less of that, unless your broke and that's all you can afford or have time to eat. Trying to venture into other areas just sends a mixed message. Their best bet to continue to stay in business may be to close locations.
