Gumbo
I'm going to attempt my first ever gumbo!
I'll be eating baker made King cake - and Polish Paczki since they are traditionally eaten on Fat Tuesday, too. (Can you tell that I have a sweet tooth?) Can't wait!
Jambalaya with sausage and chicken! It's a family fav!
Pittsburger Zombies and Cocoa Puffs
I've made my own fabulous gluten free Beignets!!!
I am a baker and chef, not professional, but it is a grand hobby! I will list below the dishes. King Cake Cajun Chicken Pasta Fried Okra Doberge Cake Creamy Cajun Deviled Eggs That's what I am planning on making, I started getting hungry just thinking about it! ;)
I will be in Offenbach, Germany on Mardi Gras. I think I will have loads of ice cream as that is what I usually give up for Lent.
I've never had beignets and would love to try them!!
crab boil
Oh I love beignets! They are actually not difficult to make if you have a deep fryer, similar to making sopapilla but you roll them in lots of powdered sugar. And I love muffalettas, used to live near a deli that made good ones. I usually make a shrimp boil though, it's easiest with what I've got access to here and it will please the taste buds of everyone in this house.
King Cake.
I'm going to try to make Muffalettas. That looks so good.
I wasn't planning on cooking for Mardi Gras, but the shrimp boil looks yummy...so that!
