Description: A festive easy to prepare trifle. My family loves it and requests it for all Patriotic Holidays! You will need a 16 cup trifle bowl or glass bowl.
Ingredients:
16 oz.
pound cake, cut in one inch cubes
1/4 cup
orange juice
1 pound
strawberries
1 pound
blueberries
1/4 cup
sugar
2 cups
cold milk
1 (3.4 oz.) pkg
French Vanilla or Vanilla Instant Pudding
2 cups
Cool Whip
Instructions: Cut pound cake into 1" slices and cut each slice into 1" cubes. Place cubes in bottom of bowl. Drizzle orange juice over cake and set aside. Remove 2 cups of smallest strawberries and/or blueberries and reserve for garnish. Puree remaining strawberries in a blender or food processor and add sugar. Pour pureed strawberries over cake. Prepare instant pudding and pour over strawberries. Top with blueberries. Spread whipped topping over blueberries making sure topping meets edges of bowl. Garnish with reserved fruit. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to 12 hours before serving.
