If you were given the power to make changes that would improve your shopping experience, what type of retail store would you most want to impact?

How many times have you gone into a store and thought, "Why is it like this? It could be so much better!" From the long lines at the wholesale clubs (because only half of the lanes are open!) to rude and inattentive sales people to messy racks at some stores where you can't find your size in the place its meant to be!  Some of our shopping experiences seem ripe for improvement!

If you were given the chance to make a shopping experience better, which type of store would it be and why?

Grocery Store (36.2%)

Department Store (7.6%)

Mass Merchandiser (Wal*Mart, Kmart, Target) (39.1%)

Club Store (Costco, Sam?s, etc.) (4.9%)

Discount Store (TJ Maxx, Filene?s, etc.) (6.5%)

Drug Store (1.6%)

Big Box Retailer (Home Depot, Staples, Toys R Us, etc.) (3.8%)

If you were given the power to make changes that would improve your shopping experience, what type of retail store would you most want to impact?

Lately it seems Walgreens and CVS are making up rules as they go! They advertise sales to get us into their stores and then get annoyed (and sometimes downright nasty) when a savvy shopper using coupons walks away with a good deal. I know that store managers have the right to limit coupons, but I feel these stores should have some sort of policies that are true regardless of where you shop.

I live in a small town in Maine. There are two grocery stores, a large chain and small family business one. The large chain of course has much better deals but, I find they are so rude and very impatient when it comes to coupons. I hear about other places in the country having double day coupons where you can use more then one coupon on the same item. Here they frown upon coupons. I look at coupons as you are saving money. If I have a coupon for a dollar, I am going to use it as long as I usually buy that product. One dollar better in my pocket. Especially with fuel and gas prices !!! Yikes Well thanks all for letting me vent.

I would encourage store to carry more organic and locally grown produce.

Grocery store I am tired of walking a football field to get my grocerys its find to have everything in a store so its one stop but put all food together and all non food together so if you only need food you don't have to walk a miles just to get it,

I have agreed with almost every comment made on grocery stores, so many of the items are stocked where they make no sense, and it seems no one keeps track of items that are purchased alot, so they are always out. I also hate that so many grocery stores don't stock what we get coupons for, by the time you find a store that has a new item, the coupon has expired. :)

Why is it when CVS or Walgreens has an advertised sale, they never have the sale item in stock. They always say come back in the middle of the week!

I wish cashiers really understood their store policies. I also wish they were "pro customer" so that we could count on them to help us through some of the sale/coupons mazes! ;o)

I really wish that stores like, homedepot, bjs, kmart would open all of thier checkout lanes. The wait is too long. They also need put more people on the floor to help find products.

I hate the way that mass merchandisers make you travel way acorss their giant stores for things that are in an illogical place. I know they want you to go through the whole store, but it is overwhelming.
