If you were given the power to make changes that would improve your shopping experience, what type of retail store would you most want to impact?

How many times have you gone into a store and thought, "Why is it like this? It could be so much better!" From the long lines at the wholesale clubs (because only half of the lanes are open!) to rude and inattentive sales people to messy racks at some stores where you can't find your size in the place its meant to be!  Some of our shopping experiences seem ripe for improvement!

If you were given the chance to make a shopping experience better, which type of store would it be and why?

Grocery Store (36.2%)

    Vicky says-I shop at alot of Mass Merchandising places. I would change the long lines at the check-outs. Especially since there are 20 check-outs and only 1 or 2 of them are open.

    I'd love to see more local produce and foods featured in grocery stores; I never have time to visit the farmer's markets.

    The larger that stores like Wal Mart and the like become the more shoppers need aid in directing them to what they are looking for. I used to shop at a grocery store in the Buffalo New York area that tried out a new shopping aid. They attached small computer screens to each cart to which you typed in your shopping items. The computer would then tell you what isle to find the product in and how much it cost.

    I enjoy the convenience of the big super stores but I don't like how spread out everything is. The health and beauty and pet supplies really need to be with the groceries. I end up starting on one side of the store for cat food and have to walk across to the other side for groceries. Granted I'm getting some well needed exercise but it takes me about two hours to find everything.

    I'm new and I read a comment where someone said a grocery store had a ply area for kids! Wow I did not know a grocery store would do that.

    There should be more user friendly access for the handi- capped in Walgreen's and CVS. How does a handicapped person get the upper stuff in any store without asking for help which I am sure they don't want to do.

    I get tired of walmart constantly changing where products are.I know their strategy is to get you wondering around the store to buy other impulse stuff but it's so aggravating

    What really gets my goat is when Wal-Mart will not restock the brands that you want so that you are forced to buy the other brands that no one wants.

    I would love to see fresher fruits and vegetables in the grocery stores.

    I would like to see Sams Club take manufactures coupons.
