Recently we’ve noticed a lot of product reviews on SheSpeaks inspired by beauty products advertised on television. Some of these "as seen on TV" products include "Strap Perfect," the bra strap eliminator, "Bumpits," the hair accessory that gives volume to the crown of the head, and "Smooth Away," the all-over hair remover.
We are curious to know what you think of products advertised on TV in the form of an infomercial. Are they too hard of a sell? Or, do the product demonstrations persuade you to buy? We’d love to hear about the items you’ve bought and if you’ve been satisfied with your purchase!
Yes, and I was satisfied with my purchase (34.4%)
Yes, and I was disappointed in my purchase (26.0%)
No, but I would consider it (30.2%)
No, I don't trust products advertised on TV (9.3%)
I've tried quite a few products from t.v. and was very disappointed. What a rip off.
I bought the Ped Egg for calluses on the feet and that thing worked like a charm. Still does over a year later and it spawned many copycats.
I too do research before purchasing any items seen on TV. If I like what I see online, on TV and talking to friends I take the plunge.
I do also do a little research and talk to peope that i know that have bought the product before taken the plunge and purchasing the product. but if i hear and find positive things about the product i will buy it and try it .

RE: thebutlerdidit: Spanx are good for controling the look of your waistline. They are terrific! I personally have a few pair. You can get them at various retail stores...they have bras, camis, body shapers...ect. Go to spanx.com for more info...
oh and 1 more thing...they make spanx for maternity wear too...my sister used them...
I have purchased as seen on tv products mostly in stores though not so much from the infomercials. I bought the Debbie Meyer green bags and I was dissappointed in them. They work well for lettuce but not much else. If you don't wipe out the moisture in the bags the food spoils faster than without the bag.
It's been a very long time since I purchased anything from TV. I don' t like the S&H cost. I'll wait until it's in the stores and buy it then.
