I shop Amazon from time to time, and I do have a Prime account. I do like that there is practically everything under the sun on Amazon, as I have searched for what I thought would be hard to find items, but they were on Amazon with decent prices. What I don't like is that it is necessary to slow your shopping roll and know who you are actually buying from and it often isn't clear where you are buying from (where an item is made), and that you may be able to return something but not always for free. I purchased shoes from a retailer. they shipped me the right box with the wrong shoes inside. Not my error. But I had to keep them or pay for return shipping. Even though I complained, I was still out $15 for the shipping and all I could do was give the retailer a bad review. Amazon should protect it's customers more.

Goliath vs. Independent Stores? Hard to deny Amazon's success, but I can't help but be really concerned for all the other small businesses in our communities that are closing because shopping local is no longer something people prioritize. I'm also concerned that Amazon has replicated Walmart's buyers' methods of forcing manufacturers into really harmful scenarios where they have to meet Amazon's price or go out of business. Has it become a Goliath that will take down independent stores? I'm hopeful that's not the case.

Free gift scammers are out there Definitely, they carry the most products for sure and it helps when you are looking for specific items!! Sometimes deliver right away, some take forever. A huge complaint is many including so called "free gift" if you write a review on purchased items, but the seller don't and they scam you. Should be a rule.

Is this the new customer no service? I love that Amazon delivers products in two days and they have everything. I have noticed that customer service is slipping lately. All during the heart of Covid, packages were arriving on time and a lot of times early. All of sudden now in 2021, packages are arriving late and I have to call to request something for my trouble. What happened to reaching out proactively and offering something???? Also, sometimes orders just don't get delivered and it's as if you never ordered it.

Tons of products, tons of ads Amazon is extremely convenient; you can order just about anything on amazon. However, there isn't a good way to narrow down relevant searches by price. Even if you select a category, you'll be swamped with semi-relevant products that are cheaper, stopping you from seeing what you actually want to purchase. I created my baby registry on Amazon and while it has wonderful features like group gifting, it also has tons of irrelevant baby ads. All-in-all its wonderful if you like to scroll through hundreds of semi-relevant products.

This website is ok. You have to watch the prices they can be so much higher that at other stores.

They have great stuff but sometimes they're shipping is really slow when they say something will coming a few days it doesn't come. I quit my membership just got to annoying

Customer Service Needs to Improve I love the convenience of ordering through Amazon, everything from books to toys to clothing to food. However, their customer service needs to up their game. I recently had an issue where the outcome was decided with anyone talking to me. I appealed and, again, the decision was made without anyone reaching out to me. My Prime membership expires in January and I am undecided on whether I will renew.

downhill I've been a prime member for over 10 years and the last year amazon has went from 100 to 10 if that ! Their customer service is crap now compared to how it was . I ordered a shelf from AMAZON not sold from anyone else it was specifically sold and shipped from amazon themselves I had to send it back 3 different times before I said screw it and went to IKEA . Hopefully they improve or I'm going to have to suck it up and switch to another delivery site

I am writing a review on how horrible Amazon.com Customer service is as well as what a waste of time writing to the Director of Amazon.com for assistance. They lack the compassion and understanding of customers and they do not care if you will cancel an account with them. they don't even try to keep you as a consumer! I was charged a late fee for paying one day before the due date. however, I thought, if the post office shows the date of when payment was made or if it was an electronic wire payment, then everything should be fine, or there would be a grace period. I explained to the customer service, and to the director with a detailed letter showing my bank transaction, however i received a letter back with NO SOLUTION. only a generic template letter which i doubt he ever typed up himself stating that they will not waive the late fee and a bullet outline on how to avoid this in the future. I didn't care about how i would pay the bill in the future because i won't be having this issue in the future, but where was a detailed explanation back to WHY they won't waive the late fee? NONE. i felt as if i was talking to a brick wall and had no choice but to take this late fee as a loss. the only fault that i see myself being in, was not being in the states to pay the bill! Amazon.com rates the lowest of the low in caring about keeping their customers and understanding!

I will never shop on Amazon again. My husband's debit card was stolen last spring and the thieves used it on Amazon. They gave us the runaround claiming they had no evidence of any order being placed using my husband's name even when we gave them order numbers and trackng numbers from our account. The order mysteriously disappeared a day later. We never got any kind of admission from Amazon that they goofed letting someone use our card from a differente-mail account. An apology would have been all I neded to continue doing business with them, but it never happened. An online porn site the thieves used offered us more immediate help than Amazon. They refunded our money immediately and apologized. Happy landings, Amazon. You will never have our business again.

At what cost? The good news is that you can get things fast and cheap. The bad news is that comes at a tremendous cost in employee working conditions. Please think twice before buying anything on Amazon, and try to support your local brick and mortar stores.

Packages come late or doesn't come at all. The. They issue you a promo.

Hate the new Amazon delivery system Last year I would have given Amazon 5 stars. They have everything and I always think it is helpful to read recommendations from real buyers of products. BUT I hate those new little Amazon trucks! Go back to UPS. The Amazon drivers deliver packages to me that don't belong to me and it is a complete hassle to get them rerouted, they drive like crazy and park wherever they want, and they don't put the packages at my house where I have asked they be delivered. From ordering at least weekly, and often more, my Amazon orders have dwindled to very very few because of this.

ZERO! I have not had any good experiences with Amazon. For starters I have been unable to access my account for almost 6 months now. My Prime account. Amazon customer service can not help me regain access to my account but they sure don't mind taking the membership fee out every month. I've called them no less than 6 times for help and the last time to cancel my Prime membership. Of course they can't do that either. So my only options are to cancel my bank card or continue letting them take money out for an account that I have no access to?? I would not recommend Amazon to anyone.
