I had my mom come over to help me apply this product to my hair. Well, when we added the powder it did not mix well at all. We continued with the process and added the third ingredient into the bottle which thinned it out a bit, but not enough to make anything come out of the bottle. My mom was able to squeeze out enough for one application and the bottle became clogged again. I decided that the possibility of having my hair ruined because the bottle was so clogged was not worth the risk so I threw it away. I was really disappointed and was hoping for a great product. Luckily, I had some L'oreal Feria at home to fix the mishap.

I also was picked by She Speaks to try this product. I was anxious to try this product, but in the end I was disappointed with the result. I found it difficult to apply this product in a consistent manner. Sometimes the product was too thick and other times it was too thin. I have thick hair and found it hard to apply by myself. In the end, my hair looks the same. Spent a lot of time for no result.

I have tried many other hair coloring products from L'Oreal and have always liked it, but this product was quite the dud. First off, the gloves that came with the kit were awful and tore easily, I found it difficult to prepare the color while wearing the gloves as I had limited hand movement and they ripped easily. I found the powder to be difficult to place into the bottle and ended up losing some to my bathroom counter, which may explain the limited results I got from the entire process. Once I finally got the kit mixed up, application was a nightmare. Squirting bits of the mixture onto an oddly shaped comb and running that through my thick, curly hair was not an effective application system. The product did not distribute evenly on my hair and some parts got a thicker application and others had less product. It was hard to touch up the places that were uneven. I would have liked highlights in the back of my head by other than crossing my fingers and hoping for the best while blindly combing through random slices of hair, I am not sure how that would be possible. After the time was up I used the shampoo/conditioner to remove the product and found it to smell weird and to be a small amount to really work through all of my hair. It also left my hair really dried out. Honestly I am glad that the product didn't make much of a difference in the color of my hair- if it had lightened it any more I think errors with application would be more obvious. Though I love the idea of the easy and convenience of high lighting my hair at home, I think this is a service best left to the professionals.

I thought the results were far too subtle, not even just in means of color transformation but the way the applicator applies it to the hair just doesn't give that great highlighted look, I thought the application process was a bit too tedious and the directions weren't particularly clear, but they were sure to drive home to hold the wand vertical seven hundred times within the directions. The scent and consistency was about what I had expected, anything containing a powder bleaching agent usually stinks quite a bit. I wouldn't really recommend this product, if you want great highlights you're better off getting a kit that comes with the highlighting cap, in my opinion nothing seems to compare to them in terms of ease, speed and results.

Did not like this product. The process was tedious, I don't think it actually even highlighted & I just was not impressed. I don't think that the results were "highlights" and I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone that is used to using all over at home dye. I was excited to try this and was very unimpressed.

My first gripe started when mixing in the powder. It was a little messy and I lost a good bit of it on the counter. Once I mixed it- I found that it was pretty hard to do one myself- especially in the back of my hair. I have medium blonde hair- and after spending about 35 minutes coloring my hair- and letting it sit on about 45 minutes- I could not even tell that I had just highlighted my hair. Too time consuming and not good results.

I'm sad to say that I was overall disappointed with this product. I love getting highlights and think they really make you look youthful; when SheSpeaks gave me the opportunity to review this product, I was all about it. However, it was not user friendly in my opinion. The results might have been different had I had help when applying this product, but I was by my lonesome. I found this to be extremely difficult to use on my hair by myself with only two hands. Not only did I keep getting the dye on my face while applying it (which I had to wipe off right away), but it was really chunky in some areas and really thin in some areas. I also got a glob on the back of my head by accident..thankfully this is just dye and it won't last forever. The concept is great and if I had more than two hands I feel the results would have been way different, however, I was overall not very impressed by the results. I did notice that some of the highlights looked very nice, but some were very streaky. I know that this is a cost-effective way to get highlights, but you're also compromising quality. I did upload before and after photos--unfortunately you can't tell much of a difference.

I was very excited when I saw the concept and couldn't wait to try it. But when I opened it my excitement started to fad. I really thought it was a dye to cover my entire head and not just high lighting. I KNEW it did highlight but I didn't know that's all it did. So that was on thing I was disappointed in. Then the kit contained a powder to mix. Which that was a big disappointment as well considering the powder was hard to pour precisely in the bottle. So that resulted in half of it being spilled all over the ground. The brush was not at all impressive either it was very awkward to use. The instructions say go light on roots but this difficult to do. I will confess my husband (he does my hair) simply gave up on the brush and started applying the color straight to my hair. I was TERRIFIED to say the least but I did need a color, my roots were growing out. So I figured the worse that could happen was I would need to correct the color. ?So I waited 30 minutes in fear of leaving it too long. ?So I jumped in the shower to wash out the dye and my husband's face was not encouraging at all when he saw my hair. He said my hair looked like hyena hid. Yeah I was excited to see it after that. But once I blow dried and styled my hair it looked amazing! I was VERY shocked to say the least. The color took well to my entire head and I do have a combination of colors. Including highlights and lowlights so it looks very close to natural. ?I would NEVER recommend using a product outside of the recommended use but in this case it worked out for the best. I was given a box of this complimentary for review purposes and I will probably never buy this product.. I would not recommend it to friends because for it's intended purposes it does not work. BUT I did give it 2 stars because my hair looks awesome.

Pros: True to L'Oreal, the color is not at all brassy and looks very natural. It nicely compliments the L'Oreal Excellence Creme Light Natural Blonde I use. Cons: Directions aren't really clear and the process is difficult. My suggestion would be to practice using the brush and adjust width and pressure as needed for uniform coverage and to avoid patchy areas.

I think this product is ok. I love the idea of having this type of application, however I did have a difficult time getting it onto my hair perfectly. I also noticed how easy it was to somehow smear the hair dye while waiting for it to dye my hair. I would honestly rather sticknow with the annoying cap that you pull hair through because it is harder to mess that up. As for the color itself, I can't say that it doesn't work. It didn't work on my hair. I don't think it was because the dye was not good. I have red hair and have always had issues finding dye that works on my hair. I usually have to leave the dye on my hair for much longer than recommended just to get slight results. This dye was no different, but again, that's probably just because my hair doesn't dye easily. Bottom line, I would say this is a great product for someone that can be perfect in applying it and sit perfectly still while waiting to wash it out.

I was super excited when I received my Loreal Paris Glam highlights and used it right away. I followed all the instructions and had my friend help with applying it so I got even and full coverage where I wanted the highlights. It was faily easy to apply and I left in on about ten minutes longer then the suggested time. I was a bit dissapointed as the highlights were barely noticable after I finished. My hair is a medium blonde and I was expecting to see some difference. I don't have any color on my hair at the moment and after using the glam highlights there is only a slight difference where I applied the product. If you are looking for something that is very subtle then this is great. If you are looking for more dramatic results then I wouldn't suggest this. Not sure if I would use the product again. I for one am looking for a slightly more noticible look when I get highlights.

SheSpeaks supplied me with Loreal Glam Lights for light to med blond. I like the color. It really brightened my hair! And I've had several compliments on the color. I practiced with the brush before I did anything and glad I did. No way I would be able to do the back and not look like a leopard so I enlisted the help of my sister. It was easy enough for her to apply all over. Having used it once; if i get it again, I will do a couple layers of hair, not just the top. When my hair moves from one side to the other, the darker hair really stands out and almost looks like a big missed patch. Over all I like it and would definitely consider using this one again if I decide to use a home system.

Received Loreal Glam Lights for free from Shespeaks for me to review. First off this product is very intimidating and I have been dying my hair for years. This was my first attempt at giving myself highlights though. I only did the front pieces because I didn't feel I would be able to apply it to the back of my hair evenly and they came out decent. The product smells and is kind of hard to apply with the given comb. It probably would have been easier with someone helping. I may purchase this and give it another shot.

I received Loreal Paris Glam Highlights from She Speaks for free. I've died my hair blonde for 15 years now, so an at home dye kit is no stranger to myself. I've always focused on my roots and used the rest wherever in no uniform matter. So it's easy for the length of my hair to be brassy and different shades. This product did a really good job at evening out overall shade. Yes, it's alot easier than doing it the old way, through a cap! It's not something I would repeat every month though.

SheSpeaks gave me a box of Loreal Glam Lights light to med to try. I think its a great idea but it could be improved some. I thought the brush was hard to use and I ended up not using it half way thru the process. I started just using my fingers for a little chunkier look. The smell isn't great but with any hair dye product I don't expect it to smell great, so that didn't bother me.The end result? Eh, I could see a couple highlights but not much. My hair is a pretty light blonde color to start with so that probably why. It didn't destroy my hair though, my hair still looks good and I can see some of the highlights so overall its ok.
