This is a small, one-handed pepper mill. My husband kept complaining about our expensive pepper grinder that I bought at an overpriced kitchen store. I found this one on amazon, did some research, and tested out one that my friend actually owns. My hubby also tested it out before we ordered it, and he also liked it. I bought both the pepper mill and the salt mill. You just hold it in your hand, and push down the top with your thumb. It grinds quickly and evenly, no more turning the top of your grinder. They even make a holster for the "professional" chef or bbq master. The only issue is: if you are using it a lot while cooking, your thumb may get tire. All in all, a wonderful product.
