When you eat out with friends, do you split the bill evenly, contribute just what you ate, or take turns paying? Do you use Venmo, PayPal, credit cards, cash or something else? How has this changed since mobile payments became commonplace? Tell us your favorite bill-paying strategies and you'll be entered to win $25 toward your next meal (paid how you want to spend it: Venmo, PayPal, or Amazon gift card!) Most of the time, each separate family pays for their own food, we ask for separate bills!

Haven't been out with friends in a while but depending on if my wallet is overflowing or just how big the bill is, I would no doubt offer to pay.

It depends on the friends and occasion. If family , we pay the bill with amazon chase credit card (have to get those points). If people we rarely go out with, we ask for the checks to be separate. If our regular couples we eat out with, we rotate who pays.

I almost always use cash but sometimes I'll do credit card so I can make sure she's left a good tip since I always overtip.

I tend to ask for two check to make things easier when going out to eat. It is the best way to stay fair but sometimes will just split the bill or will pay for the meal it just depends

one of us usually puts it on their Credit Card and we usually just use venmo to pay each other.

We normally either have the waiter do separate checks or split the bill evenly. We pretty much always pay with credit card.

Unless someone orders something way expensive, we split the bill evenly, including the tip. If someone orders a million dollar meal, they add extra to the payment!
