Summer is a great time to travel even if you can’t go far! Sometimes the best places are right under your nose. Take a trip around your hometown pretending to be a tourist. Book a tour, take a class, book a date night and take advantage of the season!
Enjoy the beautiful weather and relax by digging into a great book. Looking for a summer read? You can download one of summer's most anticipated books, Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker, for free, before it hits the shelves.
One night three years ago, the Tanner sisters disappeared: fifteen-year-old Cass and seventeen-year-old Emma. Three years later, Cass returns, without her sister Emma. Her story is one of kidnapping and betrayal, of a mysterious island where the two were held. But to forensic psychiatrist Dr. Abby Winter, something doesn't add up. Looking deep within this dysfunctional family Dr. Winter uncovers a life where boundaries were violated and a narcissistic parent held sway. And where one sister's return might just be the beginning of the crime.
Emma In The Night is a unique, touching and thought-provoking story that will keep you on your toes; you’ll never expect the ending! Get your free download here!
(BookShout.com and the BookShout app are compatible with your smartphone, tablet, desktop computer, and the Kindle Fire HD.)
Summer is all about being outdoors, so put on your favorite swimwear, find a pool, lake or beach near you, and jump in!
Summer nights can be equally as lovely as summer days. Find a nice spot (if you’re in a city you might want to find a location that offers a darker sky), lay out, and gaze away. If you’re interested in all the star names and constellations you can download an app like SkyView or Sky Guide that will tell you exactly what you’re viewing.

I plan to move into my new condo I just purchased and get organized. I have been living in a disaster since I sold my home and started packing! I'm super excited and I'm just going to enjoy it and not do any home improvements until fall!
The rest of my summer will be spent relaxing and reading. Summer passes too fast!
I plan to go to some area lakes and do some fishing.
Between working and trying to do some fun things on the weekends
Traveling to New York!
My plans for the summer are to pretty much stay cool. Living in AZ its gets HOT outside. I will more than likely be letting our dogs out, then in, then out, then in, then out, then in again--all day--while trying to NOT let the airconditioning escape the cool house! They love to sun bathe, so I have to monitor that as well. (Nothing like a burnt lab when they dont put on their sunscreen!!) I might occasionally take them to a friends pool to take a dip. I lead such an exciting life! Thats what my summer will consist of--and I wouldnt trade it or them for anything! :)
I will be spending the rest of my summer here at home in my apartment. money is short!
Reading outside with a large glass of my favorite aperitif, Kir!
Would like to go to the beach and spend relaxing time reading
Spending time with my grandsons. We are visiting new areas of the state and learning along the way. What could be better?
Spending the rest of the summer taking care of my spouse who is recovering from serious surgery. Takes about 4 to 6 weeks for a full recovery.
We live in New York State and in less than 2 hours we can visit all 11 of the Finger Lakes in our area. Last weekend we visited Conesus Lake. It took us 35 minutes to get there and we explored the lake first by bikes and later in the day we kayaked around the lake as well. The lake is relatively small so it was easy to do this all in a day. We plan to spend the remaining weeks of the summer visiting a finger lake each weekend and exploring the lakes themselves, the restaurants and shops in the town and enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding each lake. So far it has been the most enjoyable summer staying close to home and taking advantage of the gorgeous lakes and countryside that surrounds our great area!
Starting a new job, spending weekends outside as much as possible.
I'm being a tourist in my hometown which is New York. There are still so many places to visit and see. Also, going with kids to Mexico for a week.
i plan on making outdoor memories with pets, family and friends plus do some housesitting and garddening.
