Summer is a great time to travel even if you can’t go far! Sometimes the best places are right under your nose. Take a trip around your hometown pretending to be a tourist. Book a tour, take a class, book a date night and take advantage of the season!
Enjoy the beautiful weather and relax by digging into a great book. Looking for a summer read? You can download one of summer's most anticipated books, Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker, for free, before it hits the shelves.
One night three years ago, the Tanner sisters disappeared: fifteen-year-old Cass and seventeen-year-old Emma. Three years later, Cass returns, without her sister Emma. Her story is one of kidnapping and betrayal, of a mysterious island where the two were held. But to forensic psychiatrist Dr. Abby Winter, something doesn't add up. Looking deep within this dysfunctional family Dr. Winter uncovers a life where boundaries were violated and a narcissistic parent held sway. And where one sister's return might just be the beginning of the crime.
Emma In The Night is a unique, touching and thought-provoking story that will keep you on your toes; you’ll never expect the ending! Get your free download here!
(BookShout.com and the BookShout app are compatible with your smartphone, tablet, desktop computer, and the Kindle Fire HD.)
Summer is all about being outdoors, so put on your favorite swimwear, find a pool, lake or beach near you, and jump in!
Summer nights can be equally as lovely as summer days. Find a nice spot (if you’re in a city you might want to find a location that offers a darker sky), lay out, and gaze away. If you’re interested in all the star names and constellations you can download an app like SkyView or Sky Guide that will tell you exactly what you’re viewing.

Oooh, that yummy watermelon slush drink corresponds with one of my plans this summer- experimenting with creating yummy smoothies... hopefully semi healthy ones, though.
I'll be visiting the WI Dells and enjoying local festivals, flea markets & craft shows there.
Going to visit my mom small day-trip drive, house sit for other family in country, its pretty with big brown jackrabbits. Hope to swim soon. :)
Day trips close to home. Grandson with ADHD can become overwhelmed so short trips work best. My health doesn't allow active things but I can go and sit while he does things.
I hope to relax and spend time with our dogs.
Working in the garden, there's always something to do. Hope to get up to the mountains one weekend to relax in the mountain air.
I plan to enjoy the water and boating and fishing and lobster catching as soon as the Florida Lobster season opens.
I have to work... :(
Drive-in movies. Last week before Hawaiian Falls closes for the summer we do a charity event for pet rescue groups in the area where people can bring their pets to swim for the day, super fun event and wonderful to see all those happy puppies. Each year in July/Aug I put on a purse donation event all going to Dress for Success.
Plan to spend the rest of the summer relaxing and enjoying my kids
I've been a tourist in my own hometown when my family came to visit. It was great!
On Sunday I will be going with my family (great grandparents, grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and siblings) on my dad's side to my aunt and uncles camps on the lake. We will tie dye shirts, swim, and have a great week! Hopefully it doesn't seem too short!
The rest of our summer will be spent with the family in the pool, while i sadly sit on the sidelines recovering from a major abdominal sugery.
going out side for daily walks.
The rest of summer will be jam packed trying to do all the things I promised my 4 kids we'd do over break! The list is loooooooong!!!
