TLB The Lip Bar: A vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand, TLB was launched as The Lip Bar in 2012 with the goal of changing the way we think about beauty. Though it began with lipstick, TLB now also sells products for your face and eyes. According to founder Melissa Butler, "Every day people are being told how to be beautiful - so we’re here to remind you that you don’t have to change. You Are Enough!"
Carol's Daughter: More than 25 years after she started creating hair and body products in her kitchen, Lisa Price's products can be found in 30k retail stores across the country. As a pioneer of the Natural Hair Care Renaissance, Carol’s Daughter is also the first on exhibit in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. She Did That: Currently streaming on Netflix, this film.offers an up-close and personal look at Black women entrepreneurs, and addresses topics like the funding gap for women of color. Listen to episode 24 of our How She Does It podcast as we sit down with Renae Bluitt, Creator and Executive Producer of this film. Renae is also the voice behind the blog, In Her Shoes, which features Black women who are leaving their mark on the world and paving the path for generations to come.
