Fat is always the main concern, then comes the calories.
All of the refined sugar and flour is the real enemy. I don't eat anything white. I agree that saturated fat should be scrutinized carefully, but when the fat is taken out, sugar usually replaces it. Sugar should be eliminated from our diets as much as possible.
I seen a post toward the top of this stack of comments and she said that she chose other because sugars were not represented. Well.... Carbohydrates are sugars. They are just complex sugars, that is why when you are on a Atkins diet you watch the carbs.
I chose Calories. You can look at labels until your eyes burn out, but the truth is calories is what will make or break a diet. If you take in more calories then you are buning in a day, then you gain weight. It's just that simple. Don't get me wrong.... You don't want to over due the fats, but calories will be where you are made or broken.
I'm more concerned about carbs than fat
I have always been a calorie counter.
I am a diabetic so carbs and sugar content is very important to my diet.
Having been on Weight Watchers I always look first at the fiber content then fat and calories.
I can't help but look at the calories.!...lol
I alwways look at the fat content and then the calories
I've never had to diet, but I do watch the fat content.
