Facebook and MySpace are the two most popular social networking websites in the U.S., but everyone tends to have a favorite that they visit more often.
Which do you prefer, and why? Has your preference changed over the past year? If so, why did you switch from one social networking site to another?
MySpace (15.3%)
Facebook (84.7%)
I joined Facebook when it was still only open to college students, so as a freshman it felt like a cool rite of passage. And slowly, all of my new close friends that I lived with and had classes with were my facebook friends, so I never had a reason to look back at Myspace.
All of my friends on are facebook, I like how you can see what is going on with all of your friends on one page.
i like myspace more...i find face book to be harder to use...and it tell everyone what you just did and i don't need people knowing that i just posted a comment on so and so wall!
Facebook is more user friendly and easier to use.
Facebook seems like its more for adults but what I don't like is how all my friends are notified when I make a comment on someones wall. So I usually just send a message if I don't want everyone knowing what I say.
I prefer Facebook. It's like the difference between Walmart and Target. Target is just a bit more upscale and geared toward everyone not just the young!
I prefer MySpace. It makes more sense, more organized, more options, not so Twitterish, more personal, easier to block people & apps, etc.. I could keep on listing. I do have a Facebook, but only for some people I know that have Facebook and not MySpace. It's just not my fav.
Everyone is on facebook.... from my friends to my grandma. Only the younger people in my life use myspace.
people of all ages connect on my space
Facebook is way easier for me to figure out. Myspace can get pretty complicated with all the codes and backgrounds and things to catch people's attention. Facebook is just an easy site that is easy to use and navigate. It helps me keep current with my family and friends on a daily basis.
