Just taking the time to always wash hands. My husband works for Fire dept. In San Diego county so he is exposed to many germs...Being diligent is key with kids!

I wouldn't say that my family and I are freaking out about this strain of flu more than the common flu, hut who wants to catch the flu in the spring or summer time. I know my family of four would be passing it around for a month so I am trying to cut back on my non essential outings to the stores and using sanitizer and soap more often. Plus it is helping me save money. Instead we are enjoying our backyard and having gatherings with our neighbors instead of going out to eat!

I am a fanatic about handwashing, so while I am taking this seriously, I haven't changed much in what I'm doing.

I happen to work in a grocery store and I am taking this very seriously. My store has placed hand sanitizer at every place possible throughout the entire store. I wash my hands as often as possible. I bought my own personal bottle of lysol and spray everything.

I'm a part-time flight attendant and I have to show some concern.. I just clean my hands more than I usually do and use sanitizer. I also take vitamins. It is a Flu so I'm just taking extra precautions because I work in a closed environment.

I'm a germaphobe so I already wash my hands a lot. I'm just making sure to keep my antibacterial gel in my purse and stay away from people I know are sick.

I'm doing the same things as I have done before. We always wash our hands, use the sanitizer, and just keep clean in general. I do not cough or sneeze on people or things. I try not to over handle items or objects and especially if I can just look at them without picking them up. We do not eat out often and this was what has helped the most. No odd illnesses, stomach issues, or catching anything like we use to. I have severe asthma and cannot risk getting sick when flu season is high or low. These simple everyday precautions has helped my family greatly. I even clean down the milk gallons, wipe the chip bags, and clean the cans before stocking items. I recall when my husband worked at a food warehouse and they had birds, rats, and even a squirrel living on the premises. He would tell me how the animals would eat food items and just roam everywhere leaving their evidence behind. After he witnessed this, we just made sure to safe guard ourselves.
