I also would have chosen an all of the above choice if there was one! Need to save wherever you can these days.

When shopping, I also try to buy on clearance or sale with coupons. Without the coupons, depending on the item I will pass till I get one. It is really hard, but we need to cut back where we can. No one knows what is going to happen with the ecomony.

I really needed an 'all-of-the above' answer just as vern7 and several others stated. I am down to really buying essentials and little else. I have a good income, but I also have a mortgage I can't get out from under and bills from updating the house for sale. I have to say though that the challenge has really made me reassess what I NEED as opposed to what I want. I will be WAY smarter on the other side.

Absolutely agree with the need for an "all of the above" answer. Can justify all the areas...plan meals and don't go to the grocery store hungry; def. don't need to buy new clothes all the time so that covers dept. stores and discount stores; and with everything else, don't go purchasing things that you really don't need. I just moved 3000 miles across the country, and basically have to buy EVERYTHING over again. It really has made me realize which things are absolutely necessary, and which are just kinda nice to have.

This year with the price of Oil I do alot of compare pricing. I buy most of my kids Toys at TOYS R US. Not this year- I will be shopping at Walmart. I have never been a shopper at Walmart for toys for Xmas-they really don't have a great Selection. From reading this panel we are all in the same boat..

I will be spending less...actually no money at department sores.I have to shop at Target,Super Kmart & Walmart and use coupons to save as much money as possible. No money for extras at my house :( I also shop for groceries at Harris Teeter...they double coupons everyday and sometimes they even triple them ;)
