Of the following compliments, which would you want to hear the most?

As women, different things motivate us. A group of friends recently got together and starting comparing notes on compliments. One had recently been told that she was beautiful. She said that it made her day. Another said that she would prefer to hear that she is special.

Perhaps, different comments are appropriate at different times but, it got us thinking about what we most liked to hear. There doesn't seem to be a one size fits all.

    Growing up I never was told that I was pretty or anything. So when my husband looks at me and tells me how bautiful I am its like he handed me the world :)

    When we are getting ready to go for a night on the town there is nothing better then my other half looking at me with "That Look" in his eyes and says"You Are Beautiful!"

    When my husband tells me he loves me, I know the subtext is that he thinks I'm beautiful and smart and (sometimes) funny. The phrase encompasses it all.

    I would love to hear I am Beautiful. Even if just once, it would be nice to hear that especially from my husband.

    with relationships and marriages failing at alarming rates who can truly believe the words I love you. Love means being there through thick and thin, good and bad, ups and downs. If you love me, show me through actions and not words.
