More people were affected by the last salmonella outbreak in less time than this. Just practice common sense and good hygeine. This, too, shall pass.

I feel the media is blowing this out of proportion. It's the flu and the CDC is telling people to stay home if feeling sick and that you don't need to rush to the doctor. The doc can't tell if it's Swine Flu or not, he can just say it's the flu and treat it as such. If he suspects Swine Flu he will send lab results to the state dept of health who will run tests and if Swine Flu is suspected at that level will forward to CDC for confirmation. This all takes time and when the results come back you'll probably be better. We just need to us good handwashing, don't touch your face without washing your hands and keep hand gel close by for times you can't get to soap and water and also for the kiddies.

I'm not remotely concerned about it!! I think this is a non-issue that the media is turning into one for the sake of their advertisers!! IT'S THE FLU!! There are medications to help with the symptoms and people died in mexico because they didn't go to the doctor!! End of story

The regular flu kills tens of thousands every year. MEDIA FRENZY! Overuse of disinfectants is what causes supergerms in the first place.

I am using common sense and continuing good personal hygiene. If everyone would stay home when they're sick, regardless of the illness, it wouldn't be passed around so much! I think it's so gross to go to the grocery store and see people with runny noses and coughs (kids too)...you can't tell me you HAVE to go to the store when you're that sick!

In the US 109 plus cases & 1 death from Swine Flu and people are walking around with masks. 1,018,428 plus cases & 583,298 plus deaths from AIDS and people still don't wear condoms. Something is wrong with this picture.....

It's tough. We are taking precautions but they're the same precautions we've always taken. Lots of Vitamin D in addition to a regular multi-vitamin. It's kept the kids from getting virus after virus at preschool so I think it will keep this flu at bay too.
