We all have our favorite brands. The ones that no matter what the coupon discount is off that comparable "other" brand, we will still by our favorite. With the current economic environment, are you more likely to switch from national brands to purchase less expensive store or private label brands?
Do you think the quality is comparable?
No, I will stick with the name brands that I know and trust (0.0%)
Yes, I will purchase more store brands to save money (0.0%)
The same - I won't change my brand preferences because of the economy (0.0%)
I WISH THERE WAS A CHEAPER WAY AN YOU CAN TELL WHAT YOU BUY IS A SAVEINGS FLORIDA IS SO BAD ABOUT HIGH COST IN LIVING .IM ON A VERY INCOME
OH AN I HAVE TOUSE COUPONS AN SHOP AT YARD SALES I DO THE BEST I CAN WITH WHAT LITTLE I GET THANK YOU JO
I often try store brands and generics, but I had seldom bought store brand cereals because I loved my brand name cereals so much. Now - if it is close, it is good enough for me. The saving can be so huge!
I compare my coupons to store brand prices. and will buy store brand if assured same quality as name brand. There are certain name brands I will purchase even if more expected because of past experience with same.
Just heard on the national news today that many generic brands are using other ingredients to cut down on their cost instead of the ingredients listed on the label. That's scary considering I used generic baby formula instead of Enfamil.
I still love my brand named items... but there are some things that I can go generic on while I pinch my pennies. Especially on some canned items.
I'll buy whichever is cheapest.
I buy national brands only when I have a coupon and items are on sale. Then I stock up. It also depends on what products you are talking about. Cereal = store brand is generally fine. Coffee - only name brand but I watch for coupons.
I also have notice scrinking packages as well. I guess they think we will not notice. LOL sorry, I notice everything on every label i buy. The prices have gone up a lot on produce in the indiana area... but i work around it...
I shop at a bargin basement type grocery store called sav a lot. They usually only care their own brand of product. I buy primarily staple food items and cook from scratch. Usually soups, stews, casaroles etc. I make enough on my days off to eat when I come in from work and have no enegy to cook. I don't buy cereal often, it doesn't stick with me long enough. I do buy brand name items for the pets, itry to use cupons for there food when possible.
