If you voted for President Obama in 2008, would you still vote for him today?

Recently we polled SheSpeaks members on their perceptions of President Obama’s first year in office.  About 28% thought that he was doing a good job.  So, we were curious, if you voted for President Obama in the 2008 Presidential run, would you vote for him again?  Why or why not?

Please tell us what you think.  We want to know.

Yes (55.5%)

No (10.2%)

I did not vote for Obama (34.5%)

If you voted for President Obama in 2008, would you still vote for him today?

I didn't vote for Obama, and stand by my decision. He pushes his socialist "change" agenda, while the majority of Americans are rejecting it. The way he attempts to accomplish these "changes" are nothing less than an assault on Democracy. The prime example is his partisan attempt at shoving so-called healthcare reform down our throats. Americans are wisely saying NO to socialized medicine. Obama's progressive agenda is also affording 911 terrorists the same rights as Americans instead of treating them as enemy combatants, We always need to question what "change" really means. Progressive and liberals want to "change" our country into a socialist and perhaps even communist nation, a place where we "spread the wealth" (as our President stated during his campaign). Let's send home Progressives in BOTH political parties. Hold President Obama and Congress accountable for their actions and return our country to the constitutional truths we hold "self evident."

I like Obama because he is young and fresh. He is honest, far as politicians go. I like his views on the health care. It is not mandated. I like the way he doesn't give insults to others. He wants all Dems to be united,as well as The USA to be united. He doesn't take from special interest groups. And remember JFK was the youngest president of his time,& a very good one,so there you have it for the inexperiance therory. He's young & full of good ideas & energy. And when I went to my caucus today,it was the other way around, the Hillery supporters were trying to run Obama down . This is America. We all have the right to pick & choose whomever we think is the best. Everyone is not going to see eye to eye. But if Obama don't make it for some odd reason,I'll then vote for Hillery. We can not with stand another 4 years of the republicans regeime. McCain will just keep the Bush whitehouse alive. So the Dems need to stick together no matter what the out come in the end!

I think Obama is given too much credit for what he did not and has not, and most likely, will not do. So far all he's been good at is misleading the American people and heading us in the wrong direction. Didn't vote for him, and my decision has only been confirmed since his presidency!

MissKelly said it very well...I agree wholeheartedly. I also have to say......many people have jumped on this bandwagon of "OMG, not socialism!!" I lived in Germany for several years. One part of their socialist government that worked very well was their healthcare...people: Socialized medicine WORKS. People don't even know what socialism IS, for crying out loud. Get educated before spouting off like Palin. We are not headed for a socialist regime, anyway....it would never happen. :) Change DOES take time....I think Pres. Obama just needs to hunker down and get down to business....and he will. He will.

Yes I would vote for Mr. Obama again. I believe he's doing a great job. He has only been in office for 1 year. His message was "Yes we can" , not yes I can. I say give him more time, trust that he wants the best for the country. Congress needs to worry more about the people instead of Democrats and Republicans. Be Americans first! Come together and work for the good of the people. Has everyone forgotten the Bush administration???
