Recently we’ve noticed a lot of product reviews on SheSpeaks inspired by beauty products advertised on television. Some of these "as seen on TV" products include "Strap Perfect," the bra strap eliminator, "Bumpits," the hair accessory that gives volume to the crown of the head, and "Smooth Away," the all-over hair remover.
We are curious to know what you think of products advertised on TV in the form of an infomercial. Are they too hard of a sell? Or, do the product demonstrations persuade you to buy? We’d love to hear about the items you’ve bought and if you’ve been satisfied with your purchase!

No, I don't trust products advertised on TV (9.3%)
I purchased "Wen " hair cleanser after watching the 30 min. promo on TV twice. I must admit though I waited until I saw it available on QVC . I knew how they test products before airing and that I could easily return it. It is the best product I have ever tried (and I have tried many) and am still using it. Have many of my friends using it now as well.I no longer have to wash my hair EVERY day!!
I order one of those can opener that was to go around the can,my mom has athrtis in her hands and I thought what a great product. It was not we used it once and it got stuck on the can took me 5 min. to get it off , a very bad product think of the older people on fixed income that buy that thinking it would help them. Made me mad..
I tried this "Crows feet" remover, it was actually a cream that hardened like glue, i returned it immediately. I couldn't get the stuff off of my face.
haven't tried many but the few I did were great
i purchased that thing that supposedly SMOOTHS away the hair!! God awful!!!! It burned my skin, cause ingrown hairs, and I wish I wouldve known it was just a pad w/ sand paper on it-I would not even have waste my time!
I try to research the products that I intend to buy but have been burned by a few. I recently bought Gene Sphere Smooth again. It was horrible. It dehydrated the skin around my eyes so bad IN TWO DAYS that it took me two weeks to get them back to where they were prior to buying their product.
I did buy a Ped Egg now that I think about it. I really liked it, but my husband swiped it and I haven't seen it since. Guess he's a fan too...
I have the Pedi-egg and I'm addicted. My feet have never been softer. I tried the smooth away and feel like I was scammed with that one though.
I like to be able to touch and feel things before I by them.
I purchased ped-egg. I loved it. The concept was simple and it actually worked.
