gasoline is jumping again. 2-1/2 weeks ago I paid $2.16 gallon/now $2.69!
My husband got laid off and we can not afford to even go out for a night by ourselves like we usually do so its putting a toll on our marriage with the stress of money and everything, The way the economy is now its horriable, it needs to change and it needs to be soon!
Doing lots of couponing and feeling good about it:) We are retired and on a fixed income so we need to watch what we spend.
I am only buying the necessities. Living on Social Security now has cut back my spending alot. No more going to the mall to buy clothes I loved. Now i buy clothes at thrift stores and yard sales. I also use coupons, rebates, on purchases now, and regularly shop the sales on food and necessities. I get DVD's and book, and read magazines from the library, instead of buying and subscribing. I alos clean with vinegar and baking soda to cut back on cleaning product purchases.
I have used coupons for many years already and find I save $100-$200 per month...fortunately my husband has a steady job with no layoffs, so we have been lucky that way...only 3 more years till he retires. When we save the money with coupons, we use it on our children and grandchildren and for dining out and the movies.
I'm spending about the same...though i'm always frugal with my spending. :)
