I guess I think this has been blown a bit out of proportion. I'm not doing anything that I wouldn't do during the winter months here in Pa when everyone seems to have some kind of illness. We just practice good hand washing and avoid those that are sick if possible.

I haven't really changed anything I do because of the Swine flu, but I would like to get more educated on how it is spread and what they are doing about it. I never use public restrooms or have any school age children, so I don't really come in close personal (touching) contact with strangers. Hopefully they will control it before too many people are infected.

I think it is crazy how they are reacting. Last year thousands of people died from the regular flu and no one said a thing. Now they have every crazy running to the doctors for everything. I have had a cold with a fever and all I hear is have you been to Mexico. Its NUTS!!! People have been getting sick for years and yes some things are worse than others thats how its always been. Usually the very old and very young are always at risk. Stop the insanity!!!!!!

I have been washing my hands and making sure the family is too. We have been keeping a close eye on it but we are not getting crazy about it.

I've been keeping my kids at home - not going very many places. Not to mention everyone is washing their hands constantly in my house.

I do take this seriously and I am taking precautions. I wash my hands frequently and hope and pray my family doesn't get it.

I have always kept sanitizer in my kitchen, bathrooms, cars and in my purse so that is the thing I keep doing and no one has died in the US as far as I know I think because we are vaccinated on a regular basis.

I'm so crazy when it comes to washing hands in the first place. We had a premature baby, so my kids had to change their close and wash up immediately after coming home from school for the first 5 mo. Good preparation for this I guess. But what else can you do. Just wash hands, keep hands from nose, mouth and eyes and REMEMBER, GERMS TRAVEL UP TO 10 FEET WHEN SOMEONE SNEEZES OR COUGHS. Our doctor also said to be careful using Anti-bacterial soaps, these bacteria actually develope a resistance to this over time. Then it's no longer Anti- Bacterial.
