I also belive he spends too much time blaming the past instead of focusing on the future. What good does it do to toot your own horn abt a million times in every speech?

I think President Obama is doing an excellent job and he shows how much he care about turning America around in every way! He does this, and so does the First Lady, while remaining the same down-to-earth people that they were and still are! He went to work on all the major issues ways before he was inaugurated into office; that is how much he cares! I think that his critics need to come on board since HE IS PRESIDENT now, and support him in every way. Everyone needs to pull together in order to get OUR America back on it's feet again! God bless the President and his family, and God bless America.

I think he is trying and that's more than I can say for the previous president. The man is human and he's only been in office for a month. If you have ever been in finance troubles yourselves than you know it takes time to pull youselves back up. So give him a break.

Sadly I was hoping for change, but even in the first month of his presidency, Obama has signed some legislation and promoted ideas that went against his campainge so I'm disappointed. Still holding out hope but I dont think its going to happen.

I do think that it is too early to tell. However, I do feel like this President has our best interest at heart. I think that it is going to take a long time to get us out of this mess and I hope that he is the guy who can do it for us.

It is definitely too early to tell. One thing I can tell though is that in comparison with recent presidents, especially george w bush, I can tell that his intentions for us are very good.I just wish he would pull our troops out of afghanistan an iraq alot sooner than he stated. The war after all is not just causing our soldiers to get killed and maimed, but it is also a major cause of this recession/depression.I trust that he will do his best for our country considering what bush left him with.

I know you all think he is doing a good job, but you have to realize the same congress that is agreeing with his ideas is the same congress that fought President Bush on everything because he was Republican and it was a democratic congress, so it was a democratic congress that was running the country--no president gets anything done without the backing of congress, which P. Bush did not have. They fought him on all good things, moral things. Now anything goes. Morality is going out the window with the wash water. YOU WAIT AND SEE

I did NOT vote for Obama. I don't agree that we should spread the wealth by working hard and sharing with those who do not work hard--let them work and get their own reward. WHY are we bailing out businesses with our taxes?? Taxes are being raised, our money is being confiscated to help other people/businesses, the money is being given to the same people who couldn't handle the money in the first place; what happens when we are taxed to the point we have no money in our paychecks--who helps US then??? Our water company is raising their rates because they can't pay their bills---so where do we turn when we don't make enough money to pay OUR bills--there is no one under the working people to raise rates/raise taxes/steal from. Quit raising our taxes, live within your means--whoever you are---gov't or businesses alike!!!! Leave us / our money alone already!!!! Is this getting to be like communism---we only work to provide money for the gov't????

President Obama made several statements in his campaign that he has completely ignored or talked over. He promised to give the public 5 days to view any bill online before it was voted on. And he promised to veto any bill that included pork. And he promised to ignore lobbyists. It's like he's a completely different person. It might be early, but these first couple of months were his chance to establish trust, and he has proven himself completely untrustworthy. He will have to work very hard to convince me that he has any loyalty toward the American people. I think his agenda is his own, and if it happens to correspond with a campaign promise at the time, then that is a lucky coincidence.
