We asked this question about a year ago and thought that it would be fun to do it again!
As women, different things motivate us. A group of friends recently got together and starting comparing notes on compliments. One had recently been told that she was beautiful. She said that it made her day. Another said that she would prefer to hear that she is special.
Perhaps, different comments are appropriate at different times but, it got us thinking about what we most liked to hear. There doesn’t seem to be a one size fits all.
What do you like to hear and why?

I love you (39.8%)
You're beautiful (22.9%)
You're smart (14.7%)
You're special (16.0%)
You're funny (6.5%)
my loved one can tell me I love you every second and I won't get tired...it never loses it's meaning if it's coming from a person who you love as well.
I to would like to hear that I'm special. I hear I love you and get a kiss when he leaves so it sometimes feels as if it is a habit. But to hear that I'm special and not on Valentine Day or my birthday. but just because they feel like saying it. Would make my day.
I would rather hear ,I Love You,and that I'm smart, they both make me feel great.
It was really hard to choose because they were all really great, but I went with "I love you" because it still makes me feel special, even though I hear it every day, it still has the power to make me feel warm and great.
I think I love you because my husband is the type of person who does not say it often. I want to hear I love you all the time. I tell my husband I love him as much as I can. I also tell my friends that I love them. I think that it is important to tell people that you love them. You never know when someone will be gone out of your life forever.
I love to hear and say "I Love You" quite often since I don't ever want to feel I didn't get a chance to say it. I almost lost my life and trust me from that day on... I let everyone in my life know how I feel about them.
My husband tells me he loves me alot in emails.I cannot wait till my husband comes home from Afghanistan.
Being told you are special pretty much incorporates all the compliments (you're smart, beautiful, funny, etc.). I think being told I am special is worth the most.
I think it is important to be told that you are loved everyday.
I love you is always in fashion
