Do you plan to watch the Olympics this summer?

In August the 2008 Olympics will begin in Beijing. Beijing has been preparing for these Olympic games, developing its stadiums, cities and commerce for several years.

Years ago, it seemed that many waited with great excitement and anticipation of the Olympic games. So, as the 2008 Games grow closer, we are curious, do you plan to watch the games this summer?

Yes- but not as interested as usual (28.7%)

Yes- can't wait! (40.7%)

No (11.8%)

Not sure- depends on what else is on (18.7%)

    I'm boycotting these games because of the fact that they are being hosted by China. I will in no way support a country that practices genocide.

    I enjoy watching the summer Olympics but i'm just not as excited and interested as i have been in the past.I'll probaly watch some of it.

    I have watched them for several years. I enjoy them and can't wait to see who is going to win what.

    I have always loved to watch the Olympics. The competitors work so hard to get to this point. I am saddened that we will be playing in a country that has a polution level that can be seen from space. Sending our athletes to a place like this is depressing. I will still watch a few events.

    People have actually called me UnAmerican for my lack of interest in the Olympics this year! I just can't get into it like I used to.

    I love to watch those game's! But i can watch them only on a Television set! Iam left with full of work in Office

    The summer olympics hold no interest for me.

    I like winter Olympics better than summer! I probably won't be too interested!

    I enjoy watching the olympics, although I am not exactly sure why. I have no favorites. I don't enjoy competition myself. Maybe it's just because the athletes work so hard to get where they are. Being considered the BEST at something must be nice!

    I absolutely love the Olympics. I love to the see all the countries getting together and competing despite world happenings. It is a way to join nations on common ground. It's history in the making and I look forward to watching as much as I can. I also feel its equally important to encourage our children to watch as well. They are our future. The Olympics is not just about sports. There's so much more. There are stories of hardship and of commitment and bravery that are lessons for us all. I love to root for our American Athletes and here about their trials and tribulations as they venture towards the gold. The Olympics are historical. They are an occurance that happens every two years. We should absolutely appreciate every moment...
