I made a resolution I felt I could realistically keep.
I don't waste my time making resolutions I am just going to feel guilty over when I break them, so when I make a resolution, I am resolute. :) I rarely not keep one.
My resolution is the same every year. I tell myself that I'm going get in shape and excersise regularly...and so far so good.
The only way I ever stick with my resolution is to write it on my Yearly Calendar...that way I see it throughout the day. The key for me is not to make a huge resolution but one I know I can manage and accomplish. (although it isn't always 100%...I do get close).
Yearly i feel increasingly depressed as i make resolutions, and never seem to keep them! This year i promised to make small resolutions, but ones that would make a diffrence in my lifestyle, from completing certain small tasks on time, to making sure i wash my face every night before bed! Its working so far! and i dont get that terrible feeling of "falling off the wagon" when i forget..
If I write down my resolution and then take the additional time to also write down the steps to achieving the goal I have a better chance of sticking to it. I am the type of person that likes to experience accomplishment and even the small task of checking things off of a list makes me feel great.
i love to make a new years resolution, but put plenty of time in deciding on my choice. i don't want to be disappointed in myself. it's also a great deal of fun learning about my choice and what i can do to help. you just can't blurt out anything like"losing weight or cleaning out the garage. you have to find something that will be important to you for the entire year and hopefully forever.
No resolutions, but I am trying to get in shape for vacations and stuff so I just started around the beginning of the year...
