Facebook and MySpace are the two most popular social networking websites in the U.S., but everyone tends to have a favorite that they visit more often.
Which do you prefer, and why? Has your preference changed over the past year? If so, why did you switch from one social networking site to another?
MySpace (15.3%)
Facebook (84.7%)
Well I think that both are just as fun and they both have things that you enjoy and dislike and i think that myspace is a younger crowd and more for like friends where facebook is older people and more for like family and serious friendships
It's cleaner in design, more privacy options, easier to use.
Less commitment and greater control
I do not like the personalization on Myspace, at least half of the attempts I'd make to visit friends "pages" would fail because of various things they had loaded (songs, video, themes). I like the speed and simplicity of Facebook.
I never got a myspace, but looked at my friends and it seemed a little elementary. I just got facebook a couple of months ago and its great. I have reconnected with former classmates, teachers, and even my own former students.
Most of my friends are on facebook and I only need one social networking site to belong to.
I prefer Myspace over Facebook any day. I like being able to control what I post so I dont have everyone viewing my comments. Myspace is a lot easier to control than Facebook and I have gotten two viruses just from Facebook pages over the past two months, one destroyed my Desktop PC completley.
Myspace loads really slowly for me. Facebook is quick and easy to use.
Facebook is much more grown-up.
Facebook seems more professional or at least not has teeny booper as myspace.
