Have you changed where you purchase beauty products (cosmetics, haircare, etc.) because of the economic downturn? Yes, I'm more likely to purchase beauty products...

According to the press, retailers and cosmetic companies, amidst the recession, women are still buying beauty.  We were curious to hear where you still shop for these products? 

Are you shopping for these products that way that you did in the past?  We want to know what you think!

On a home shopping channel (2.4%)

At drugstores and supermarkets (42.5%)

On the Internet (10.5%)

At specialty stores like Sephora and Ulta (8.2%)

At department stores (8.0%)

    I haven't changed where I shop, I've just cut back. If I don't need it, I wait to get it.

    I purchase most of my cosmetics from Dollar General and Walmart. they have some of the best prices.

    Now I haven't changed wher I buy my products. I have very sensitive skin and the only makeup that I canuse is bare essentuals.

    I've been mixing drug store brands with my department store brands. It cut down dramatically on my spending.

    I usually buy make-up at drug stores since they have the best sales. I also use Avon when they have good shipping deals. I have always tried to get bargains for products I love even when the economy was better.

    I still purchase my favorite, Bare Minerals, through Sephora (hello, free gifts and shipping!), but for all other makeup I have pared back to items I can purchase at Target. I have actually found very little difference in the products I am using vs. what I was using before!

    I still by my foundation from Mac online, I watch for discounts or free shipping. I buy my mascara locally at a drugstore as its the same kind of stuff!

    I have found that I have been using coupons a lot more lately and buying all of my beauty supplies at places where coupons are accepted...sadly not too many department stores carry coupons. If I do buy from them it is when they have a free gift sale going.

    I go where the deals are! I a regular item is on sale at a certain store, I go there. It's worth it in the long run!

    my lipstick is the only thing I still buy from a department store, I love my MAC! Other than that....I am fine with my drug store eye shadow, blush etc...
