I'm certainly not happy with his give away program. He is just putting us deeper in debt. and only seems to be helping those who got into this problem through greed.

I think he bit off more than he can chew and the reality of that statred to hit soon after he got into office. Things didn't "Just happen" for him or fall into place like he thought they would. This country is in big trouble and is going to be for quite sometime. I don't see that he is going to do much to help us out but I really hope that I'm wrong!

He is going too far too fast -- really hope we don't become a socialist nation!! It's worrisome.

Let's give him a chance. I personally feel that he has done more for our country in 8 weeks than G.W. Bush did for us in 8 years. Obama is at least trying to address the needs of the American people. Bush just spent our surplus on an unnecessary and expensive war, but did nothing for social services or the financial welfare of the average American. He did, however, look in to saving money for the uber rich but watching their tax rates. We have a change now and although things move slowly, they are moving in the right direction for the majority of Americans. This was a terrible mess Obama inherited and he promised to try to make things better. That is all we can ask after 8 weeks.

if the took that trillion dollars and paid off everyones mortgages, we would have money to buy other homes and other things. Why should we pay to bail out the banks for poor lending. We should get the stimulus not the bigwigs. Its all at the top. Might as well live in a third world country. Heading toward socialism--gov has control of everytying! I find it very scary. If president Bush tried this, he would have been laughed right out the door!

I forgot to say that I am not sure how getting 10 more dollars a week in my pay check will stimulate anything. I won't know the differene. If anyone who is retired would not have to pay any taxes and every single other person did, the elderly would be better off. THey did thier time and need some relief. Put the welfare folks who are healhty to work for thier money by working in driver license places or other places like that to earn thier pay and save governmet paychecks to these places. There is work out there, some should not be so picky. Bush is the one who inheretied this debt from the clintons. Lets not forget that!

Really, who can say? It hasn't been very long, but what I have seen I like so far. I think he has some practical solutions to OUR problems. For instance freezing the incomes of politicians. Who would have ever thought that not giving our politicians, people who make six figure incomes, raises when we are in a financial crunch would be a solution?!? Go figure.

I AM AFAID HE IS PUTTING US MORE IN DEBT WITH ALL THE MONEY HE IS HANDING OUT. OUR KIDS WILL BE PAYING OFF THE DEBT LONG AFTER WE ARE GONE. BUT I DO BELEIVE HE IS TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING. I JUST THINK HE NEEDS TO SLOW DOWN.

Eight years is how long it took Bush to make the mess we are now in and it can't be fixed in a month or two; it is going to take awhile. Let's wait awhile and then decide if Obama is going to do any good. He deserves a chance to make things right without all the gripping on getting it done "right now".

I still think if he bailed out individuals wtih mortgages wtih that same money, instead of the banks, more would have gone back into the ecomomy and banks would have gotten paid--the same money anyway and folks would be out of debt.
