I think it is nice to stay in but I also enjoy going out sometimes. You have to change it up a bit to keep it exciting.

My friends, family and myself have very busy lifes. Friday nights are always eat out at a different restaurants with two other couples. My husband and I work on our truck and go to fairs in the summer for truck pulls, hiking with the kids, or just having fun in the backyard.

Just floating around in the pool with no kids is a perfect time for us.

My husband and I both love to read and we both need quiet time. So sometimes we go hangout at Borders or Empire Books and pick our favorite magazines and books. Then we sit down and look or read. We get to look at magazines that are out of our price range, preview books we might want to read later, or simply get inspiration for a project we're working on at home.

Another thing my husband and I like to do is shop at thrift stores. He hates to shop, but the things we look for are things we can repurpose. It is kinda like a supply run for our projects, so it makes him excited to shop for things. And to top it off, we have fun together giving each other ideas for things to start on. It really feeds our imagination and our communication/teamworking skills!!!lol Oh and it's fun.

We too are cutting costs where we can-many 'date nights' with my husband involve watching the sunset over the river and/or the sunrise over the forest-very romantic!!

I like it all. I love to go out to eat and I would enjoy a quiet picnic in the mountains. In the end, I do not really care where I am at. I just enjoy the company and alone time.

We don't go out to much, so dinner and dancing is definately a treat. Fine wine, a good meal, dancing in the arms of someone you love, what more could you ask for

Since everyone is in a major budget crunch. I prefer to make something at home and then watch a movie. This is great for uninterupted face to face interaction and you have no surrounding distractions
