Which of the following do you consider to be a form of blogging?

There has been so much in the news lately about how many of us are blogging.  So, we were curious about how people defined a blog.  How do you define a blog?  We’d love to hear!

Posting a comment on a discussion board (44.5%)

Posting a comment on my social networking page (Facebook, MySpace, etc.) (41.5%)

Posting a recommendation or comment on a shopping website (29.6%)

Posting photos onto a photo-sharing site (Flickr) (13.5%)

Posting a comment in my online web journal/log (64.2%)

Which of the following do you consider to be a form of blogging?

I belong to a site where I comment on many things going on in my life and about other sites that I belong to. To me that is the a form of blogging.

Any time you discuss something on line I consider it "blogging".

blogging is your own online journal, discussion threads are in a forum page.

It wasn't until I was asked this question that I actually consider blogging as posting comments or talking on discussion boards. I always felt it was more of posting in an online journal that was open to the public to read.

Blogging is where you write about different subjects/topics, etc. on a blog. A discussion of a blog is simply...discussion. I have a few blogs & I think it comes mainly for my passion to write as well as always wanting to tell everyone what I think of new products so they don't miss out on the good stuff! Or, prepare them for something that isn't particularly a great product. It always generates lots of conversations and input. I guess we women truly know what we want! LOL

I comment in forums that I belong to about products that I have enjoyed. One forum in particular is aimed towards women and there are multiple areas to discuss various subjects, from cooking to parenting to make up and shoes. It's very diverse! I also have a facebook and myspace that I use to blog about products that I like, although I think using online forums reaches more people than facebook and myspace do!

Wow... I had no idea that people think that commenting or taking part on a message board is 'blogging'. I've been a blogger since 2004 and although I do comment on websites and other peoples blogs, as well as taking part on message boards (like we are doing right now) is not considered blogging at all.

Commenting, pictures, or redirecting links or websites all in one spot, I believe to be the term of blogging

I have a blog where I discuss industry news articles and boil them down to a three minute read or less for my clients. Blog comes from the words Web Log. So if it isn't a journal of sorts, it's really not blogging.
