Hope to spend less than lass year if possibe. One income family, just making ends meet. I stay at home to care for my disabled son. Did take on a job but it involved to many hours and left my son uncared for so i had to quit it almost immediatly. Make a little pin money on the side taking care of a friends little on now and then. So i am a very thrifty shopper.
this is my daughters first holidays!
I'LL PROBABLY SPEND MORE THIS YEAR MY SON IS ALMOST 4 AND THE THINGS HE WANTS GET MORE EXPENSIVE EACH YEAR...
I'm planning on spending more on my husband and daughters, but less on extended families and friends. I'll probably do the box of chocolates or bottle of wine thing instead of personalized gifts for them. Although, it may be difficult, because one of the things that I really enjoy about the holidays is coming up with the perfect gift for each person...
My daughter is grown, so we usually take a holiday vacation to someplace warmer than winter in the Northeast.
The kids Christmas list gets longer and longer especially since my youngest can finally write!!
My youngest left for college this summer and my oldest married then bought a house. I'm thinking just gift certificates or cash. Restaurant gift certificates for the elderly parents. I'm looking for some little goodie for co workers. I'm making it easier on myself and trying to give them what they really need.
Probably more since my son is older and has an eye for more expensive toys. But, I think its worth it just to see the smile on his face. He still believes in Santa and I know this will not last very long so I intend to enjoy every minute of watching him open his gifts from Santa....
I have twins in college, and I need to TRY to save money! But, I'll probably end up spending more than I plan to! I also have one who is graduating college in December and I'm throwing a big party for her!! HIP HIP HOORAY!!
We spend about the same every year, however we do shopping for the adopt-a-child program in our community for over 100 families. The finances are via donations, but we do all the shopping and wrapping. We then assist in the delivery with Santa in a Fire Truck.
