Are you having your kids vaccinated for the H1N1 (swine flu) virus?

Access to the H1N1 vaccine has slowly become available across the country, but some parents are still having trouble getting their children vaccinated.

Have you had your kids vaccinated?  If so, where did you get them vaccinated?  Did they get a shot or the inhaled mist?  If you are choosing to not have your children vaccinated, why not?

I already had my kid(s) vaccinated (21.6%)

I want to get my kid(s) vaccinated but can't get access to the vaccine (10.7%)

I've been able to get some of my kids vaccinated, but not all of them (3.5%)

I'm unsure about whether to get my kids vaccinated (25.3%)

I'm definitely not having my kids vaccinated (38.7%)

Are you having your kids vaccinated for the H1N1 (swine flu) virus?

I did a lot of research and feel that it is not safe for my children, i don't have them getting the regular flu vaccine so they are not getting the H1N1 vaccine. Our children are getting to many vaccines now a days.

My husband is an MD and none of his partners or any other MDs we socialize with are using the H1N1. So often the regular flu shot is not right so how do we expect this to be correct. My daughter had H1N1 and it was no worse than the regular flu. At first sign have yourself and child put on Tamiflu. My kids are home today because our schools are giving the mist.

I don't know what side effects this shot can bring in the future. Nope not in our body!!

There are just too many unknown factors when it comes to the vaccination. I have a handful of friends who kids got infected with the virus and every single one of them lived. I think if you keep a close eye on your child and take him/her to the doctor when he/she is sick, your child will be fine. I do have one friendā??s two year old got infected and it was too late to give him the proper medication and he also survived. The media is scaring the heck out of us with this.

I have gotten 3 of my 8 kids done. The 11, 8 and 7 year old were offered the vaccine through their school so we got them done. I debated and asked a few doctors I work with and most said it was perfectly fine to give to them. We have a clinic coming up to get 4 of the others done the baby is still too young.

I have seen more get sick by getting the shot than the flu and my doctor actually said its not much different then the regular flu and most are hyped up over it for nothing. I too think the drug companies are scaring people and will certainly not have my kids nor myself injected with a flu virus and whatever else is in it

I am not sure if this is safe or even helpful and it seams that they are short evey where you go and only half the family is available to get it.
