This year is the first time I will really be in a relationship on Valentine's Day :) I have no idea what to do for my boyfriend! He is currently in school and we are both a little strapped for money but I would still like to do something. Any suggestions???

I will buy cards and a little something special for each of our two kids and my husband. We are expecting, so we will probably do a nice, quiet dinner in one of our favorite restaurants and not stay out too late. We'll probably spend around $150 on everything. A little more if he buys me flowers like I've hinted at!

I am one of those unlikely people that loves Valentine's Day, regardless of my relationship status. But this year I have someone very special to spend it with and am looking forward to the romantic side of the holiday! And it gives me a reason to shop :-) Doing my part to help boost the economy!

Actually, this year since times are getting a little harder everyday, I plan to make my husband something for Valentine's Day. I can always make cute little cupcakes or something that both my son and my husband can enjoy.

I'm having a baby and my due date is 2 days after Valentine's Day, so I'm not sure exactly what we will do to celebrate the day because I may be in labor or be a mommy by then.

We are broke, so nothing is probably the best gift right now. I'm hoping for a backrub without expectations, but ya know how that goes...it'll never happen. :)

I was widowed a year and a half ago and haven't ventured out into the cruel dating world yet so I don't have anyone to buy for romantically. I do send all the grandchildren Valentine cards with a gift card included. I collect free or low priced cards all along so I usually have gift cards for free movie rentals, music downloads, or I buy fast food gift certificates, etc. Since all my granchildren live far away from me it is a way to make sure they remember they have a grandmother.

valentines day is a fake holiday created by greeting card companies. i am single, but if i had a companion i would simply want to designate the day to spend some quality time together doing something that we both enjoy but dont get a chance to do normally because of hustle and bustle of every day life. that is the best gift. making memories are priceless. :)

I think i am going to spend less than last year because i will try to create a romantic park like picnic setting inside my home using party style themed items and creating a romantic like picnic menu without worrying if the weather will cooperate.
