Which of the following do you consider to be a form of blogging?

There has been so much in the news lately about how many of us are blogging.  So, we were curious about how people defined a blog.  How do you define a blog?  We’d love to hear!

Posting a comment on a discussion board (44.5%)

Posting a comment on my social networking page (Facebook, MySpace, etc.) (41.5%)

Posting a recommendation or comment on a shopping website (29.6%)

Posting photos onto a photo-sharing site (Flickr) (13.5%)

Posting a comment in my online web journal/log (64.2%)

I truly believe blogging to be communicating with others online. First I think of an actual blog that someone writes and updates very frequently, but with more thought I think blogging can be in the form of actively commenting and sharing on other sites online even if you do not maintain your own separate blog or website.

I take my blogging seriously. I have several blogs and spend a lot of hard-found time posting and trying to keep the blogs looking fresh and up to date. Just commenting or checking out forums doesn't, to me, seem to be actual "blogging."

"lynnkendo " said that she was not sure how to get started with a blog. I can suggest Blogger. I started a couple of years ago and have tried other free blog sites & find that Blogger is the easiest for a "newbie" to use and get used to. I have to warn you: once you get started, you WILL get hooked!

I think blogging is all of those. Blogging to me is just writing your thoughts wether it is through a site such as Facebook(my favorite) or an actual journal, Getting involved with discussion forums like cafemom. My own interaction through my computer to communicate with others...

Personally I consider blogging to be using some form of online journal.

I think traditionally blogging is an online journal, but the definition is evolving as people turn to sites like facebook more to share their thoughts

Ibelieve blogging is keeking a page on a social network and updating it regularly. While I have commented on several site I do not consider myself a blogger.

If I'm not mistaken "blog" is short for web log, which I take to mean kind of a public diary.

I really do not blog very much. I am not sure what it is all about.

<> I can totally relate. I would also love to have a blog but I just don't know where to start. I have started one that I have only made sort of some random posts on, not really with a theme, just whatever came to mind that day...lol. I would love to start a much more structured blog on a subject or about family life, or well, something... So yeah, I relate to you about wanting to start a blog myself as well.
