Do you plan to watch the Olympics this summer?

In August the 2008 Olympics will begin in Beijing. Beijing has been preparing for these Olympic games, developing its stadiums, cities and commerce for several years.

Years ago, it seemed that many waited with great excitement and anticipation of the Olympic games. So, as the 2008 Games grow closer, we are curious, do you plan to watch the games this summer?

Yes- but not as interested as usual (28.7%)

Yes- can't wait! (40.7%)

No (11.8%)

Not sure- depends on what else is on (18.7%)

    I wish the US athletes had come together and designed an alternative that would allow them to boycott China. The human rights violations there are so directly opposed to what the Olympics are supposed to stand for--just ask any Buddhist in Tibet.

    My seventh grade class will be studying China as our first unit . . . what better way to see "the world as it really is" than to observe the Olympics interpreted through modern China? I look forward to seeing/hearing how China, despite all of its recent setbacks, provides a window to the world.

    Regardless of controversies, etc., I think it's a great thing for our country to get behind right now. My TIVO will be working overtime!!

    I LOVE the Olympics... I can't wait to see the opening ceremony. It is nice to see the world come together and recognize our differences and similarities.

    My boyfriend loves the Olympics so I will probably watch some of it. But it really just depends on what is on.

    I'm not watching the Olympics because it will be held in China.

    in the summer I like eo be outdoors and I do not warch as much tv as I do when it is winter so if it really interests me and I am home I will watch
