Spring is well underway and it seems like so many of us like to "brighten" our look after the long and dark winter! So, we were curious, just how many of us actually highlight our hair?
Whether you do it to cover grey, brighten up your own color or to completely change color, we were curious, do you color or highlight your hair? Why?
Yes- I usually do it myself with home hair color products (50.5%)
Yes- I usually go to a salon for a stylist to do (28.5%)
No- I do not color or highlight my hair (11.6%)
Not yet, but I'm thinking about it (9.3%)
I actually really like my natural color. The lady who does my cut now said the person waiting after my last appointment asked her to color it just like mine! I'd thought about getting some highlights or something, but I'm afraid I'd get a scalp rash or my hair would fall out or something!
I've only highlighted my hair four times in my whole life. I've never done it myself. The last time was last Mother's Day as a gift from my husband. Come to think about it, it's been a year (haha). I think I may need to do it again soon, something about roots...hehe.
Ive colored my own hair and had it done in a salon.. At home is much cheaper and with the price of gas going up at home is looking better all the time.....
I have a hair dresser that has like a mini salon at her house and does the best job on my hair and she doesn't charge that much at all.
I used to do it myself until I had my daughter last year. Now if I use anything in a box/bottle it either does nothing, turns my hair black or turns it bright red! So I've had to start spending money at a salon if I want it done to avoid having to pay even more to fix it instead!
I do it myself and it comes out great. Save a ton that way.
i do it myself and aways looks great!! saves loads
i do it to look better and feel better about my self and to cover a little gray..
I'm not crazy about how my hair holds up with at-home color, but it is just so costly to have it done at a salon.
I sometimes do it myself and get very good results. However, last time I did it at home I used a diffrent brand (I know stick with what you know!) and the results sent me RUNNING to the salon. My stylist was very good about & didn't charge me a lot, and she even gave me some great tips for next time I try it at home--it does save loads of money.
