I try to combine the speed of prep time with healty. Weekday mornings it is very important for things to keep moving in our house we are on a time crunch. The trick is finding things that fit those categories that taste good and do not cost a fortune.

I like something that is super easy, but for the longest time I've been hooked on Vanilla Slimfast (powder) and I always add either fresh or frozen fruit - it is so tasty and a great way to start my day.

Busy lifestyles make it so easy to want to go skimpy on breakfast. It takes discipline to train yourself to make it really matter. I am an oatmeal girl who loves her fruit, and a little traditional in the fact I can not pass up a slice of whole grain toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar. For the extra kick to seal the meal, I drink my coffee. It is as though the warmth and caffeine jolts my body into "lets get serious" mode. I am then out to conquer the day!

I think it's a mix of all those things, but the most important would be nutrintional content. I like to make sure what I eat is dairy free, has some fruit/veggies, and meets/exceeds the nutritional guidelines.

I want to make sure that i'm not hungry in an hour or that i'm not feeling totally sick from it. I don't like heavy breakfasts just something to compliment my coffee and tummy throughout the morning.

Aside from the Nutritional benefits, Convenience is very important. My daughters prefer a bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats... or a Fruit Smoothie.... quick and easy without leaving you feeling "Sugared Out" or slow and sluggish afterward.

Convenience is important to me, but I also want to know what I am putting in my body has the best nutritional benefit.
