I have specific routines that only began these last few years since getting older. Prior to this I went to bed with makeup on or whatever - it did not matter. Now I take the time to put cream on my feet, wash my face, cream on my eyes, moisturize my elbows and neck etc. I swear it has made a difference over the last 2 years. My skin is softer and appears to have lessen the fine lines.

My aunts were glamour girls in the 1950s and beyond, and I was heavily influenced as a child by watching them care for their skin, hair and apply makeup. They were gorgeous and still are.

My mother passed away when I was quite young, but my grandmother and various aunts influenced me. To this day when I wake up I always splash cold water on my face .. it not only wakes me, but it also brings a fresh glow to my skin. I might add that I 'drip dry' which gives the cold water a chance to penetrate ! I may be 64, but very few people would guess that and I attribute it to my cold water treatment ! Plus ALWAYS use sun block !!

My mom is big on washing her face and putting a moisturizer right after. She is 50 years old and has flawless skin. My moisturizer is my best friend and my face feels weird with out.

My mother never discussed with me the importance of good skin care so everything I have learned is by trail and error, that and the fear of doing nothing. I have tried to instill better habits in my daughter but it is tough without having someone to help you. Thank goodness she has better skin than I do. Having acne and worrying about wrinkles is not what I call fun. Thanks to all for the great tips I am sure I will try a lot of them.

My mother wears next to no makeup and usually uses skin creams and cleansers, etc. recommended by her doctor. I'm experimental and buy way more products than I need.

I love taking time for myself, even if it's just a couple minutes per day! I feel great when I feel comfortable with myself!
