If you voted for President Obama in 2008, would you still vote for him today?

Recently we polled SheSpeaks members on their perceptions of President Obama’s first year in office.  About 28% thought that he was doing a good job.  So, we were curious, if you voted for President Obama in the 2008 Presidential run, would you vote for him again?  Why or why not?

Please tell us what you think.  We want to know.

Yes (55.5%)

No (10.2%)

I did not vote for Obama (34.5%)

If you voted for President Obama in 2008, would you still vote for him today?

i voted for President Obama and i will vote for him again. There are alot of people who criticize him and what he has accomplished. I think he had alot of his plate coming into office. Having the worst economy since the great depression and the war on terror all takes time. I truly believe he has our best interest at heart and will continue to bring us through these hard times.

I also agree with other post. Change take time, so we need to give him time.

I did not vote for President Obama and would probably make the same decision today. And for those like "olivialamaestra" who think socialism in Europe is so fantastic perhaps they should do a little more research prior to supporting a program that know little or nothing about. Majority of the middle class and above in Europe also carry private health insurance in order to bypass the clinics and or lengthy queues for services. Unless you live in Denmark....talk about high taxes!

Yes I voted for Obama and would do it again. This country has been in a free fall for the past twelve years. Give him a chance. I agree with nikintheknow he is the hardest working president in my lifetime.

Everybody wants a quick fix and seems to have a short memory on how we got into this mess. Seems the President is being blamed for making the problem when it started a couple of years ago and the Bush administration kept it covered up.

President Obama had not nearly completed a year before the critics began to find fault. Whereas, another president (Bush) had eight years and was not criticized as much as President Obama. Give him a chance and we as a people should not just sit back and think he can change this country alone. It also takes the other people we have voted into office (senators, congress, house, etc.) to make the changes we are asking.

I agree that change does take time, however, enough time has passed that some progress should have been made by now. I did not vote for him and would not in the future.
