How much money are you spending compared to 1-2 months ago?

The economy seems to be showing glimmers of recovery.  On the other hand, many of us are out of work or know others who are.  So, we were curious, how are you feeling about spending your money over the last 1-2 months?

Please tell us what you think.  We want to know!

I'm spending more (15.8%)

I'm spending the same (33.3%)

I'm spending less (50.9%)

The economic down turn served as a wake up call for me and my family. I've learned to live with the "necessities", and to defer most of my "wants" for now. As a single parent, it's important that I adopt a conservative approach to spending while riding out this recession. Looking forward to better day!

I'm spending somewhat the same, maybe a little more with moving my family into a new home. I'm buying new things to add to what I'm needing.

Both my husband and I work for the State of CA. We are making 15% less than we did last year. With cost of everthing going up we still find ourselves spending about the same even though we have cut back.

I am also having a difficult time finding employment, and my husband had his wages reduced. We are so thankful that he is still working, when so many we know are not. We do have to watch every cent.

We are making an effort not to spend more than usual but don't want to add to the declining market so we are spending/investing what we normally would.

I have been cutting back on my excessive spending since the economy is not doing very well.

We spend less simply because we make less. My husband and I are both retired, so we are on a fixed income. We splurge from time to time, but mostly enjoy having family get-togethers, where everyone helps out with the expence.
