In our last SheSpeaks poll, we asked how your emotional state has changed since the recession began. A whopping 40% of you (the #1 answer) said that you were more "stressed".
With all of this additional stress, we wondered, are women losing sleep? If you are losing sleep, what are you doing to try and get more of it?
We want to know. Please share your thoughts!
No, I haven't lost any sleep (39.1%)
Yes, natural remedies (tea, yoga, meditation) (12.4%)
Yes, over-the-counter remedies (Advil PM etc.) (23.6%)
Yes, prescription remedies (9.5%)
Yes, but I haven't tried anything to try and get more sleep (23.8%)
Just alot on my mind. Worried and scared about the future...........
I have taken all caffein and aspertame out of my diet. I sleep much better and have lost weight as well.
I am very fortunate and rarely have problems falling asleep.
I swear by homeopathic remedies and I have a great one for sleeplessness.(www.1800homeopathy.com) This recession is very stressful and I know I lay awake at night when I don't use my remedies and worry about what could be. We survived a scare at the beginning of the year, and now are facing more rough ecomomic pressures and perhaps another chance at lay off.
I seem to frequently wake at 3 am and then have a hard time falling asleep, makes me exhausted the rest of the day.
I have a newborn, so sleep is minimal anyway! I am pretty much so tired when I get ready for bed that it doesn't take long until I am out!!!
I have always had problems falling asleep, it has nothing to do with the recession. I try to fit in some type of arobics, walk or some other excersise in the day and it helps out a little.
When I close my eyes I think about my craft projects and this is a best remedy,so many things to do.Try it !
Yes a nice hot bubble bath woth lavendar and candels to wisk all the troubles away
I occassionally have sleeping issues...the reession causes me to worry about our future...especially right now being almost 7 months pregnant. Generally, I try a warm glass of milk or chamomile tea before bed, which helps better than most other remedies.
