My husband is an employment lawyer for pete's sake! It's like he's the engineer of a train wreck lately. He's had to supervise layoffs at the factory level and recently at the management level. Talk about increase his stress, and MY stress watching him. So far his job is secure, but still!

The economy makes me nervous. It's irritating because where I live, the job market is awful. I was always told that I need to get my college degree to get a job. Now, the bigger companies aren't hiring as well as everyday companies like WalMart. We're a military family, and we're staying here because we feel like this is the only way we'll be stable.

I work for a consumer product goods company which sells high-end products. We still see people like to treat themselves once in a while even while things around them seem unsteady. So while I am grateful to still have a job which I love, even if I get laid off, I will have saved enough to live off of for another year and will try to enjoy the small things which give me pleasure.

The feel the worst is yet to come. The Corporate theivery is running rampant in our country and they are finally being exposed. Bailouts for them, but not for the middle class working people. They can file bankruptcy and still keep their company. How many working class people are losing their homes? No one is giving them money.

The economy is not really affecting me as I live on my own means, have a robust savings plan, and a job that I love where I am respected for my abilities too. With that said, I am hoping that this slowdown will actually help me prosper with my financial investment plans when the time is right. So for me, the current economy issues have made me for grateful for sure.

After 30 years I have a medical condition that doctors have just been blowing off as nothing because they are just "bithmark" or cafe'au lait spots when actually: I have a condition called Neurofibromatosis. I also blew them off as birthmarks until my son was born and he also had all these birthmarks so I had it checked out. He is fine, your typical 2 year old. But me on the other hand, after having this condition with no problem for 30 years ....my Im having problems Im having seizures and with all the testing Iv had, no one knows why. Im having migraines at least twice a week. Im just trying to relax, and find a good neurologist who understands my condition because most just blow it off like its just a rash or something. I live in Chicago anyone know of any?

Yes, times are tough, but it's made me think about what's really important. Money isn't everything, and my hope is not in my financial portfolio. I am incredibly grateful for the blessings we enjoy in this country - even in hard times.

For the first time in my life I saw my doctor about axiety. With 2 children who will enter college next year and two more at home and no option for a better paying job I am worried I will have to choose between paying the gas bill and putting food on the table.
